My grandfather, Dennie Martin Moore Sr., served as a preacher in this community for an impressive span of over 50 years! He devoted his life to guiding and supporting the congregation alongside his beloved wife, Seena Virginia Ellen (Pickel) Moore. My father, Johnny S. Moore Sr., who was born in Crossville, spent a significant portion of his life stationed in North Carolina during his dedicated service in the Marine Corps, where he proudly served for 22 years. Upon his retirement, he and my mother, now known as Margaret Watson, made the heartfelt decision to move back to Crossville. They were eager to enjoy their golden years surrounded by family and friends.
